Chicago Rabbi Larry Dudovitz was arrested on suspicion of sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy in 2006.
Dudovitz, 45, was arrested Saturday, the Chicago Tribune reported, and is being held on $100,000 bail.
Dudovitz, who is also known by his Hebrew name Aryeh, reportedly leads a Chabad synagogue in Chicago. He was formerly a rabbi at the Chabad House of Northwest Indiana.
According to authorities, the alleged assault occurred at the victim’s home on Oct. 26, 2002 in the West Rogers Park neighborhood.language
Court records show Dudovitz is accused of trying to assault a 15-year-old boy while he was sleeping in his home in October of 2006. At a hearing over the weekend, a judge grilled the prosecutor for the 6-year delay in filing a charge.
