Syrian Army inflicts heavy losses on foreign-backed militants

The Syrian Army says it has inflicted heavy losses on foreign-backed militants who are fighting against the government.

Friday saw another day of clashes in different places across the country.

In the flashpoint city of Aleppo, some leaders of the al-Qaeda-linked al-Nusra Front were killed, and one of the group’s military commanders died in the fighting, the official SANA news agency reported.

The army said it also killed and wounded many “terrorists” in the fighting in the Damascus suburbs of Jobar, al-Moaddamieh, Darayya, Doumaal-Zabadani, al-Nabik, and al-Hajar al-Aswad and seized their weapons. More
