3 synagogues evacuated after bomb threat

Authorities say three synagogues near the New Jersey shore were evacuated after a bomb threat was called in to police. Police in Deal received an anonymous call at 8:10 p.m. Tuesday. The caller, whom police described as a male with "a Middle Eastern accent,"[israeli?] told them bombs were about to explode in three Monmouth County synagogues.

Norwood Temple in Deal and the Congregation Brothers of Israel and Ohel Simha Temple in Long Branch were evacuated and searched by bomb squads. Authorities say no explosive devices were found and no one was injured.The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office is investigating.
