Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has bid his farewell as Hassan Rouhani prepares to take the stage as the country's next president. Ahmadinejad said in a ceremony that his denial of the Holocaust has been one of the greatest achievements of his presidency.

Ahmadinejad has also called for the Arab world to punish Israel for its treatment of Palestinians. The incoming Rouhani has characterized Ahmadinejad's Israel remarks as "hate rhetoric," and the mayor of Tehran has criticised him for Holocaust denial
