Jewish Educator Arrested For String Of Child Molestations

A 26-year-old resident of haredi city Beitar Illit was arrested today. The man, who is employed as an educator in one of the town’s haredi schools, allegedly repeatedly molested children, Ynet reported. He reportedly confessed to some of the allegations against him and was remanded into custody.

Last week, one of his alleged victims filed a police complaint supported by a recording of the man allegedly admitting he committed the crimes.

Police believe the molestations have been ongoing for the past several years and involved both children the man knew and child he met randomly.

Earlier this week, the Judea and Samaria District Police closed the case involving suspicions of rape of a five-year-old girl in the haredi settlement of Modiin Illit.

Police decided to end the investigation after it was discovered that the woman who had made the original complaint had fabricated the story. She may face charges for her conduct.
