Lieberman to join JINSA board of advisors

After leaving the Senate after 24-years in office, what is now-former independent Sen. Joe Lieberman going to do? He’s going to Disney World!

That is, if you consider Disney World to be The Jewish Institute for National Security Affairs board of advisors.

“Senator Lieberman’s expertise on matters of national security and defense, as well as his commitment to the strategic relationship between the United States and Israel, will undoubtedly benefit JINSA as a member of our Board of Advisors,” David Steinmann, co-chairman of JINSA’s board of advisors, told The Daily Caller in a statement.

“We look forward to working with him in the years to come.”

Founded in 1976, JINSA is a non-partisan advocacy organization which seeks to promote “a strong U.S. military, a robust national security policy, and a strong U.S. security relationship with Israel and other like-minded democracies,” according to its website.

Lieberman was awarded JINSA’s Henry M. “Scoop” Jackson Distinguished Service Award in 1997.

JINSA’s board of advisers is comprised of numerous former American military officers as well as prominent political figures like former American Ambassador to the Untied Nations John Bolton, House Majority Leader Eric Cantor and former Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell.

Dr. Toaff is uniquely qualified to write this book, being thoroughly familiar with the derivative literature in English, French, German and Italian, as well as the original documentary sources in Latin, Medieval Italian, Hebrew and Yiddish. This is not something he worked on in secret. On the contrary, he worked on it openly with his university students and colleagues in Israel for several years; one of his students was even going to publish a paper on the subject. The author is extremely careful about what he says, and his conclusions must be taken seriously. It reads like a detective story.

If it had been published in Israel, in Hebrew, no one would have cared. There are large bodies of literature in Hebrew that Jews do not wish Gentiles to know about. But Dr. Toaff’s announcement of its publication in Italy, in Italian, raised a worldwide firestorm of fury. Under unbearable pressure, the book was withdrawn from publication, and is not to be re-issued.

You can strike a blow against censorship by circulating this text by e-mail or posting in on the Internet. No one can sue hundreds of people.

If the text is all over the Internet, and everybody has it and everybody knows what is in it, the cat will be out of the bag, and it will have to be published – sooner or later.
