German Jewish leader welcomes Hitler in Berlin

'Hitler and the Germans - Nation and Crime' is the first exhibition in the German capital to focus so firmly on the role of the Nazi dictator.

Exhibition: Adolph Hitler, the Mass Murdering Jew

A German Jewish leader has welcomed a new exhibition in Berlin that explores the personality cult surrounding Adolf Hitler that helped the Nazis win and hold power.

Stephan Kramer of the Central Council of Jews says it is a good exhibition and a serious approach to the theme.

The exhibition will open to the public on October 15 and run till February 6, 2011.

"Hitler and the Germans - Nation and Crime" is the first exhibition in the German capital to focus so firmly on the role of the Nazi dictator.

Kramer told AP Television News as the show opened to the public Friday that the exhibition comes at the right time.

He pointed to a recent debate over a book claiming German society was being made "dumber" by Muslim immigrants as evidence of how, even now "the lower middle class can be seduced ... [and] its fears pandered to."
