Students disciplined for ‘Beat the Jew’ game

Seven high school seniors in Southern California were disciplined for playing a highway chase game called "Beat the Jew."

The Los Angeles Times said the La Quinta High students who had organized the game via a Facebook page were disciplined, but did not say in what manner.

The students faced being suspended or barred from graduation, according to the Associated Press.

The Facebook page, which had 40 members, was shut down last month.

The students played the game late on the evening of May 20 in which a willing person, "The Jew," was blindfolded and left on a nearby highway while members of the other team, "the Nazis," rode by in cars and tried to tackle and capture the Jew. The rules were outlined on the Facebook page.

A police investigation into the incident is ongoing, according to reports.
