What Started The French Riots?

French Police Hit Two Kids On A Motorcycle

And Then They Fled

French Officials Say - "We Are Checking Into It"

The Official Story

Two teenagers on a motorcycle were killed in a crash with a police car.

Anger focused on police, with residents claiming that officers left the scene of Sunday's crash without helping the boys – a claim officials cast doubt on but which the police were investigating.

Police investigators say the teens ignored traffic rules and crashed into the police vehicle, and that the motorbike they were riding was unregistered and thus not authorized for use on French roads. Neither of the boys – ages 15 and 16 – was wearing a helmet as required.

The internal police oversight agency opened an inquiry to probe whether the officers failed to help the teenagers and whether manslaughter charges should be filed. An alcohol test showed that neither of the two officers had been drinking, police said.

Police's Second Story

The motorcycle hit them on the side

Police Have A Third Version

Police now say the motorcycle was stolen, there was a high speed chase, and the cops accidentally hit the kids.

The Eyewitnesses Story

But local youths have said the police car's stoved-in bonnet suggests it rammed the teenagers.

This Is Stupid

If two cops hit some kids on a motorcycle the first thing they do is call an ambulance. Everyone confirms the police ran away, but why would they need to run? Not only do you have two dead kids, but you have that 'Rat Faced' Sarkozy itching to clobber these Muslims.
