Christian Zionism - The Political Agenda That Takes Bible Scripture Out Of Context

Many Christian-Zionist preachers out there are constantly preaching that God has a plan for the physical piece of land labelled "Israel" in the Middle East; they say that Israel needs to be supported no matter what the circumstances, because its fate is directly linked to the end times of Bible prophecy. They preach that Israel must be victorious over their Middle Eastern neighbours, so that Armageddon and the return of Jesus can occur. They preach that if all the foreign policies that suit Israel’s political and military agenda are carried out, then signs and wonders and the spectacular return of Jesus will occur as planned. This type of Christian Zionist preaching seems to dominate where politics and religion are apart of the agenda at church, because the Christian Zionist movement is just a selfish political and religious agenda.

The preachers of these Christian Zionist concepts have managed to coerce their congregations into supporting every foreign policy that suit’s the political and military agenda of Israel, even if the foreign policy oppresses others and causes innocent people to be killed. Every Christian Zionist preacher was in support of the war against Iraq, they preached that the US needed to bomb Iraq for the benefit of Israel, and the fact that Israel’s victory against its neighbours needed to be guaranteed for biblical prophecy sake. The Christian Zionist preachers continue to preach their Israel foreign policy parables and political agenda, in their churches where politics and religion mix together like butter and toast. If politics is the butter and religion is the toast, they never serve you toast without butter at these churches. Politicians and political parties seem to be deeply involved in the Christian Zionist movement, and in many cases the preachers preach the the policies of the politicians who seem closely involved with their church.

In their own selfish ambitions to see signs and wonders in Israel, the Christian Zionist movement fuels and supports tyrannical foreign policies that bring nothing but: death, destruction, evil and oppression onto innocent people. The Palestinians in particular are suffering horrendously because of these pro-Zionist policies. When Israel invaded Lebanon and killed multitudes of innocent people, the Christian Zionist preachers jumped into their pulpits and openly supported Israel’s military agenda, their preaching seemed to be an echo of every US politician’s speech on the issue. Politics and religion seem to work in concert together in the United States, the Christian Zionist preachers just preach a couple of Bible verses, take them out of context, add a little of George W Bushes speech about why a war needed to happen into their sermon and presto! Now you have corporate and political religion with a sinister agenda that can be swallowed by the gullible sheep. These preachers take a few Bible verses out of context and add politics to them, so they can use it as an excuse to break the commandment of, “love your neighbour.”

These Christian Zionist preachers want us to support every: bombing campaign, oppression and military exercise Israel decides to initiate, because they say Bible prophecy scripture says Israel should dominate over all their neighbouring countries militarily. Bible prophecies are not commandments that tell us how to treat our neighbours, and we should not use Bible prophecies as a manual of how we treat our neighbours, but the Christian Zionists are doing precisely this, they are taking Bible prophecy scripture out of context and using it as a manual as to how we should treat the neighbouring countries of Israel. When Jesus predicted the destruction of the temple in Jerusalem; that did not mean every Christian needed to join the Roman army, kill innocent people in Jerusalem and destroy the temple. If the Apostles joined the Roman Army to destroy the temple and kill innocent people, because Jesus prophesied the temple would be destroyed, the Apostles would be breaking the commandments of Jesus. Christian Zionist preachers are doing precisely this; they are using Bible prophecies as an excuse to break the commandments of Jesus. Politicians in the United States cannot have their people obey and following the teachings of Jesus, otherwise it will interfere with their sinister agenda’s, so they have enlisted corrupt preachers to manipulate the scriptures to suit the political agenda.

Jonah preached to Nineveh, “Yet forty days and Nineveh will be destroyed”; this was not a commandment for God’s people to go and destroy Nineveh and kill innocent people there, however Christian Zionists use prophecies like this in the Bible that relate to victory for Israel in the end times, as an excuse to support military triumph for Israel over countries such as Iran. This interpretation of scripture is seriously erroneous and it is absurd to use an end time Bible prophecy as an excuse to break Jesus commandments. The command of Jesus is to love our neighbour and not to drop bombs on them. Christian Zionist preachers are deliberately confusing bible prophecy and commandments, so they can get around the commandments of Jesus and promote their political agenda that defies the commandments of Jesus.

Christian Zionist preachers create a kind of hype about how awesome it will be to see Israel militarily victorious over their neighbours, even though many innocent people will die because of Israel and United States military campaigns. They preach all these military conquests are going to bring us closer to the second coming of Jesus, and we need to support the bombing of the Muslim countries for the glory of the future and to see exciting prophecies fulfilled. Jeremiah on the other hand always hoped his prophecies would never come to pass, Jeremiah was known as the weeping Prophet, and he wrote a whole book of lamentations after Jerusalem was destroyed. We need to lament for the innocent blood being shed in the Middle East; we should not be gloating in it because we are looking forward to seeing Bible prophecies being fulfilled. We need to concentrate on helping and loving our Muslim neighbours who live in the Middle East. Hundreds of thousands died in the bombing campaign against Iraq by the United States, the Iraqi’s are our neighbours and we need to love them.

Jesus said to: "love your neighbours", "do unto others and you'd have them do" and "love God". Jesus NEVER said to: manipulate foreign policy, bomb neighbouring countries of Israel with depleted uranium, oppress and genocide Palestinians, kill hundreds of thousands of Iraqis in bombing campaigns, or give billions of dollars in military aid to Israel so they can build nuclear bombs and weapons of mass destruction.

Christian Zionism has to be the most selfish and anti-Christian movement I've ever seen. The fruit it bears seems to be wicked, and the foreign policies they support are anti-Christ at best. Christian Zionism preaches a Jesus who seems to represent nothing of the Bible; they seem to have created their own watered down corporate and political Jesus to fit their own agenda. According to Christian Zionists; bombing Iraq and supporting George W Bush's wars is in the will of Jesus. According to Christian Zionists, George W Bush is also a devout Christian who follows the teachings of Jesus. If Jesus entered George W Bush's office he would certainly whip him, just liked he whipped the money changers in the temple.

What ever happened to the Jesus who said: "love one another as I have loved you" Instead the Christian Zionist movement has created a Jesus who wants us to support the bombing and killing, whenever the Israeli political and military leaders decide they want to bomb and attack someone. May God help this world, and may the real Christians who follow the real Jesus make a stand against this.

Okay if I ask the readers to Google "Powered by Christ Ministries" and then look for "Roots of (Warlike) Christian Zionism"? Irv
